Beware of fake KYC update links shared via SMS
Protect yourself from cyber scams. Avoid clicking on unsolicited links shared in the message asking you to update your PAN card or KYC details.
Follow the below steps to safeguard your bank account:
- Legitimate banks would never send you messages from random mobile numbers
- Axis Bank always send messages from their official ID AXISBK/AXISMR
- Don’t click on any suspect links sent in such messages, as these links can lead to malware or phishing websites
- Remember, Axis Bank would never seek any confidential details like your KYC details or card / login credentials through any form of communication. Please do not share them with anyone.
- Pause and think before acting on any SMS or unauthorized call seeking any sensitive information.
- Always check the sender / caller’s identity and contact your bank to report such scams.
- Please follow the process of updating your Aadhaar and PAN card as mentioned on the official UIDAI website or Income Tax website respectively.
