Ping Pay is a multi-social payment application by Axis Bank. You can now transfer money and recharge phone numbers using Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, email and SMS. You can also ask for money and mobile recharge using Ping Pay.
Ping Pay can be used by Axis Bank customers to send, request and receive money. A non-Axis Bank customer can also download the application and use for requesting money from friends & family and also for receiving money sent by Axis Bank customers.
The Ping Pay app allows you to send or ask for money and send or ask for mobile recharg. Axis Bank customers can also see their account balance on Ping Pay.
Yes, Axis Bank customers will be able to send money/recharge and can also check their account balance in the Axis Bank account linked to the Ping Pay app. Non-Axis Bank customers will be able to request money/recharge and can also apply for an Axis Bank Savings Account using Ping Pay.

Ping Pay can be downloaded from the Google Play Store for Android devices and from the App store for Apple devices.
The actual download time depends on the speed of GPRS connectivity offered by your mobile operator.
Please select 'Yes' for this option. This is specific to the mobile device and will not affect the application or the mobile device.
The downloaded application is stored in a particular folder of the handset, specific to each device.
Axis Bank offers Ping Pay free of charge. You can download and use this application as and when needed without any charges levied by the Bank. Your mobile operator may levy charges for GPRS/SMS used. Please check with your operator for details.
Ping Pay is user specific. It requires a 6 digit MPIN code that is recognized by the Bank for any transactions via the application. It is a safe and secure process as the application locks itself on entering five consecutive incorrect PINs. For security reasons, you are advised not to share your Ping Pay MPIN with anyone.
You will need to download the application again on your handset. Please refer to the FAQ response for "How do I download Ping Pay" in the Onboarding section. Please follow the download process depending on the OS of your phone.
The appearance of Ping Pay may differ slightly on different phones; however its functions and operations remain the same irrespective of the mobile handset being used.
In case you download and register on the Ping Pay app using a new device, the last one gets automatically de-registered.

Once you have registered for Ping Pay and wish to send money, you will have to link your account using your Axis Bank Axis Bank Debit Card or Internet Banking/a> credentials.
To register using Debit Card- Enter Debit Card number, ATM Pin and expiry month and year
To register using Internet Banking - Enter Internet Banking username and password
Please note that the option to send money is available to Axis Bank customers only.
To send money, you will have to link an Axis Bank account with the Ping Pay application. In case you do not have an active Internet Banking login, you can use your Axis Bank Debit Card for linking the account.
In case an Axis Bank customer tries to register using a SIM card which is not registered with Axis Bank, s/he will be considered as a non-Axis Bank customer. The customer will be able to register successfully but the "Send Money" functionality will not be available.
This is either because the verification SMS is not sent from device or device does not have the SIM corresponding to the registered number. Before trying to activate the application, kindly ensure that the SIM card present in the handset is that of the mobile number you are using for registration. Otherwise please delete the application, download and try registering again.
This is because the OTP is not getting delivered to the number. Please try again from a place where network coverage is better as the message delivery is dependent upon the operator and not on the application.
You can click on the 'Resend ' button present on the OTP screen.
You need to enter the correct confirmation code which has been sent via SMS. For Android users, the OTP is automatically populated on the screen. Alternatively, in case of any problem you can also request to resend OTP after one minute.
This is because the OTP is not getting delivered to the number. Please try again from a place where network coverage is better as the message delivery is dependent upon the operator and not on the application.
The most recent OTP should be used for activation of the Ping Pay application.
You can simply reconnect to Ping Pay and verify your transaction history to check if the transaction has been executed.
On most handsets, you can answer the call or read the SMS while Ping Pay continues to run in the background. After you have finished your call, you can resume the application. However, for certain handsets, you may need to re-open the application and login again. In case the call is extended for a longer duration then the application will get logged out and you will have to login again.
Yes, as long as you have GPRS activated on your mobile number, subject to availability of the network, you can access Ping Pay anywhere in the country. Please keep in mind that you might be charged special roaming rates for using GPRS.
The portfolio of services offered for Axis Bank/non-Axis Bank customers on Ping Pay remains the same across all handsets. However, the appearance may differ slightly based on the mobile phone and its display interface.
In this case your Ping Pay account is locked, you will have to register to the application again.
Yes, once registered you can use either of the details, Internet Banking or Debit Card details while registering again.
The MPIN can be reset by clicking Forgot MPIN option.
In case you change your handset, you need to download the application again and register to it. The application on the previous device will be de-registered. In case you change your mobile number and you are an Axis Bank customer, please register it through Axis Bank ATM or Branch and then install the application for the new number else the "Send Money" functionality will not be available.
In case of theft/fraud, you can call the call center (1800-209-5577/1800-103-5577) and get you application locked. In case you want to use the same number to use the application again, you will have to download and register to the application again. You will not be able to re-register for 24 hours after locking the application.

A non-Axis Bank customer can link an account for receiving money. However sending money option will not be available to you.
Ping Pay is only available to retail Savings Account customers of axis Bank. Hence, you will be able to view the balance of only your savings account.
When you swipe through the money option, you will be able to see the other features available.
While sending money for the first time, you will have to enter the Debit Card/Internet Banking credentials of the account you want to link with the Ping Pay application. All the savings accounts linked to the Customer Id will be reflected and you can choose a default for all future transactions. The same can be changed in manage accounts.
The money will be debited instantly from your account. However in case you want to cancel the transaction, you can visit the transaction history and by long pressing the transaction tab you can cancel the same.
As soon as the receiver clicks on the link received and confirms acceptance of the funds by entering the OTP and bank details (in case of receiving for the first time ) the money will be instantly get credited into the account.
Yes, the link that is sent to the receiver expires in 15 days so the receiver has to receive money within the duration.
The funds are automatically reversed back into the sender's account once 15 days have passed and the beneficiary hasn't clicked on the link and received the money sent.
Under the Transaction History option, you will find all the transactions initiated in the past, for all successful and even failed transactions.
The transactions will be visible to you in the reverse chronological order .i.e. the latest transaction will be the first to appear in the list.
Funds are transferred using IMPS which is an instant transfer facility.
No, you can transfer funds/recharge free of cost using this application.
The minimum amount for fund transfer is Rs. 1 and the maximum is Rs. 50,000 per day
Swipe the centre circle to select recharge, to ask for recharge swipe down to send recharge swipe up, select the person you wish to send/ask recharge, enter amount and confirm.
The minimum recharge amount is Rs. 10 while the maximum is Rs. 3,000 per day for mobile and Rs. 2,000 per recharge, however customer should check with their operators for the correct denomination/value before initiating any recharge.
You can recharge up to Rs. 3,000 per day for a single beneficiary in case of mobile recharges post which you will be shown this message.
You will not be able to recharge for the same beneficiary if this error is visible to you. You can recharge the same number the next day.
You should check with your mobile operator about the recharge denominations and the top up value before recharging.
The time interval between two recharges for a particular number should be at least 15 minutes. Please wait to recharge again.

There is no size limit. However, for faster upload and download image, please limit to image size of 12 megapixel (up to 5 MB), audio and video 5 minutes and text up to 250 characters.
There is no limit to the number of accounts that can be added for receiving money.
No information is stored on your mobile phone or SIM card memory. So in case of a lost/stolen handset, no account information will be compromised.
If you lose your phone, please call Axis Bank call center immediately and register complaint. Our Customer Service team will mark your device as stolen, and the Ping Pay app can no longer be used on the lost/stolen device. If you do not block the application and someone tries to transact using the application, s/he would require the MPIN. In case the MPIN is entered incorrectly five consecutive times, the application is blocked. And to use “Forgot MPIN” option, Debit Card details are required, so the MPIN cannot be changed.
Yes, do not reveal your Internet Banking login ID, password and 16-digit ATM cum Debit Card number and your MPIN to anyone. Do not store any of these details on your mobile phone.
In case GPRS connectivity fails in the middle of a transaction, then you should check the transaction history to know the status of the transaction and also check your bank account statement.
Ping Pay is available to you free of cost. However, please bear in mind that standard data access rates will be applicable as per your telecom service provider for using Ping Pay.
Ping Pay is a secure application, downloading or accessing may be slow/ intermittent on some GPRS plans. You may check with your telecom service provider about other GPRS plans if repeated attempts to access Ping Pay fails on your existing plan. Please contact our customer care for further help.

This is because you have not registered your mobile number with Axis Bank through a secured channel (Branch/ATM) for that particular account.
Your mobile number is not updated for the respective account. Please update your mobile number through SMS Banking. Visit your nearest Axis Bank Branches/ATM for the same.
The account that you link with Debit Card and Internet Banking for sending money is set as your default account and you can only view the balance of the same.
